The bricks are seen a lot with which the roads are paved. Some footpaths are made of marble: it would be much more expensive and harder to install than bricks. For instance, cutting the edge of marble is laborious and low-cost efficient. Probably the Finnish doesn't care the cost. They might want to decorate their environments by using raw materials as much as possible like less-processed wood often used in public places.
도로들은 벽돌로 대부분 덮여져 있다. 어떤 보도들은 대리석으로 깔려져있는데, 벽돌과 비교해서 휠씬 비싸고 설치 또한 쉽지가 않은데 말이다. 예를 들면, 대리석의 한쪽 모서리를 사진에서와 같이 가공하는 것이 보통일이 아닐뿐더러 비용도 만만치 않을텐데. 아마도 핀란드 사람들은 비용에 그닥 신경을 안쓰는 것 같다. 생각컨데, 공공장소에 덜 가공된 목재를 주로 사용하는 것과 비슷하게, 그들은 가능한한 많이 자연으로 부터의 순수 재료들로 그들의 공간을 장식하고 싶은 모양이다.
