때론 순진하고 개구장이 같은 녀석들. 길가의 보행자와 도로를 구분해주는 교통안전등을 보고 맥주란다. 그들 나라의 맥주가 그리운 모양이다.
Naive and naughty guys. They told the traffic light to divide between a road and a footpath looked like a cup of beer. Probably, they were missing their own country's beer.

홍콩의 야경은 유명하다. 듣기로 저녁 7시부터 인가 의무적으로 빌딩들은 조명을 밝혀야한다. 그 이유는 touristic attraction을 위해서. 나름 관광객을 끌기 위한 좋은 아이디어이긴 하지만, 나날이 제기되고 있는 화석에너지의 고갈을 생각할 때, 인간의 눈은 소비로 인한 아름다움 보다 자연 그대로의 아름다움을 즐겨야하는 걸까? 어쩌면 화석에너지가 고갈되는 30-40년 후 쯤, 홍콩의 야경은 지난 날의 추억일 수도 있으리. 결국 인간이 인간을 길들이고 다시 그것을 수습해야하는 우스운 상황이 연출될 수도...
The night view of Hong Kong is famous. I was told all high-rises should turn on their lightings at 7.00pm until the sun rises in order to attract tourists. It seems a good idea from a touristic perspective but it might not considering the coming exhaustion of fossile energy. Shall we enjoy natural beauties rather than artificial ones like the night view in Hong Kong? It would be a memory of the past to enjoy the lighting at night in 30 or 40 years when the energy will be gone. It could happen that human beings make themselves used to something and then do not to the thing.

홍콩 7일 동안, 동고동락(?) 했던 동료들. 그들은 아시아인이며 홍콩을 이전에 와봤던 나보다 홍콩을 더 잘 알고 있었다. 어쩌면 홍콩은 이미 아시아가 아닌지도 모른다. 홍콩의 식당에서 특이했던 점은 항상 플라스틱컵에 아주 뜨거운 물이 제공 된다는 점. 중국답게 차도 아니고...
Some companions of mine during a conference in Hong Kong. They seemed to know more about Hong Kong than me who had been there before and at the same time is an Asian people. In that sense, Hong Kong may not be Asia any more. One werid thing at all restaurants in Hong Kong, very hot water was served in a plastic cup, which was different from a cup of tea as usual in our common sense on China.
