 This is enough to carry with me whenever I travel: a novel book is also fine, but it says about another world while this lonely planet describes where I am traveling. It doesn't only contain useful information but also interesting histories and local cultures. I'm loving it. 여행을 할때면 이거하나만 들고 가면 충분하다. 소설책도 좋지만 '외로운 행성'이 내가 현재 여행하고 있는 곳을 말해주고 있을 때, 소설책은 다른 세상을 이야기하고 있으니... '외로운 행성'은 여행에 유용한 팁이나 정보들을 제공할 뿐만아니라 여행하고 있는 지역의 흥미로운 역사들과 문화들도 다루고 있다. 사랑스런 책이다. @ bergen in norway in july 2009  @ horseshoe band in april 2009
 Kronborg Castle, at the seaward approach to The Sound Øresund, is one of northern Europe's most important Renaissance castles. There is a museum in the castle in which things are exhibited related to navigation and vessels. Among many travel products exhibited, the suitcase shown in the picture caught my attention. It seems around the mid of 20th century one. It looks very functional. One compartment in left side is for clothes and they are packed up without being fold. In the way, no wrinkles are made in clothes. The other compartment in the opposite side is for small stuffs and there are 5-6 drawers. In that way, small travelling stuffs don't roll over in the suitcase. It seems a movable wardrobe. It is a shame that it is bulky and heavy, though. Sound Øresund 해협의 바다쪽 입구에 있는 Kronborg 성은 북유럽의 가장 중용한 르네상스 성들 중의 하나다. 이 성에는 항해와 선박과 관련된 것들을 전시되고 있는 뮤지엄이 있다. 전시된 많은 여행용 제품들 중에, 사진 속의 여행가방이 눈길을 끌었다. 대략 20세기 중엽의 것으로 보이는 데, 아주 기능적이다. 왼쪽의 공간은 옷들을 보관하는 공간으로 옷을 접지 않고도 수납이 가능하다. 그럼으로해서 옷들에 주름이 잡히지 않도록. 반대편의 다른 칸은 주로 작은 것들을 위한 것으로 5-6칸의 서랍이 있다. 작은 여행용품들을 서랍에 넣음으로써 가방안에서 떼꿀떼꿀 굴러다닐 염려가 있다. 한마디로 이동식 옷장이다. 근데 부피가 너무 크고 또한 무겁다는 것이 아쉽다. @ kronborg castle in december 2008  The route to get here wasn't that simple. First of all, we drove from The Hague to the airport at Eindhoven. We got on board and flew to Milan. Then we rented a car and drove from Milan to Venice again for two hours. We parked the car at Mestre, the nearest inland city from Venice because parking fee is much cheaper then the island. Then, we took a train to Santa Lucia railway station where is the starting point for traveling Venice. In front of the station, we took a waterbus called vaporetti. It brought us to a boat stop near our old Venetian apartment. We left home at 7.00 am and got the final destination at 4.00 pm. What I learned from it is "The cheaper we pay for anything, the longer it takes to get". I don't recommend this way of travel to those who belive 'Time is money'. 베니스까지의 루트는 그렇게 간단하지 않았다. 우선, 우리는 헤이그에서 아이트호벤공항까지 운전했고, 밀란행 비행기를 탔다. 그리고 밀란에서 자동차를 렌트해서 베니스까지 2시간 운전을 또했다. 베니스보다 주차비가 훨씬 저렴한 베니스에서 가장 가까운 내륙도시 메이스트레에 주차를 하고, 다시 베니스 여행의 출발점인 산타루치아 역으로 향하는 기차를 탔다. 역 앞에서 바포레띠로 불리는 수상버스를 타고, 숙소인 옛날 베니스 아파트로 향했다. 아침 7시에 집을 나와 오후 4시가 되어서야 최종목적지에 도착했다. 이 경험을 통해 배운 것 하나, "뭐든지 더 싸게 지불할 수록, 더 오래 걸린다". 시간이 돈이라고 생각하는 사람들에겐 이런 루트는 비추다. |
